B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection (Compare to the active ingredients of Nature Vet Cophos B®) is a supplement to buffer lactic acid and also promote muscle function in Racehorses, Dogs and Camels.
COMPOSITION: Ethanolamine Phosphate 100mg/ml, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 50mcg/ml
Actions: The two major limiting factors in performance are:
1. Available energy reserves
2. Adequate red blood cells and oxygen transfer to tissues
Phosphorus is used in large amounts during racing and training. The longer a camel competes, the higher is its phosphorus loss and the less its endurance. The high energy phosphorus provided by B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection maximizes endurance by ensuring that ATP is able to be replenished rapidly and also counters the high loss of phosphorus from working muscles. Phosphorus is a major muscle buffer to reduce lactic acid accumulation and improve endurance.
High energy phosphate compounds (glycerophosphates) are vital for proper muscle function and endurance, to ensure that ATP is readily available to fuel muscles over long races without excess lactic acid accumulation and fatigue.
Maximal exertion causes a metabolic acidosis or builds up of waste lactic acid in the blood. Excess lactic acid causes muscle fatigue and thereby causing reduced endurance and performance. The high energy phosphate released by ATP for maximal exertion helps to buffer the rise in muscle and blood acidity, but this phosphate needs to be recycled to produce more available energy immediately.
*Phosphorus is essential for energy production and is a major muscle buffer
Folic acid is unable to be supplemented orally to ruminants, including camels. It is rapidly destroyed in the rumen. As Folic acid is absolutely essential as a co factor to Vitamin B12 in the formation of red blood cells, it must be supplemented by injection at any time a stimulus of the red blood cell count is required.
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection is ideal to use in the pre-race lead-up, or at any time blood loss needs to be remedied.
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection provides the essential Folic Acid to work with Vitamin B12 in red blood cell formation, as well as the additional highly available energy in Phosphorus.
Remember that the two major factors limiting performance are:
1. Lack of available energy as ATP
2. Lack of adequate oxygen transport to the muscle to allow maximal performance
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection is a muscle buffer and muscle energy support supplement for horses in hard work.
*Phosphate is a major body buffer.
*Phosphate is essential for muscle function and also oxygen transport and is often deficient in diets.
* B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection improves muscle energy supplies, endurance and power output.
* B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection improves recovery after hard work.
* B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection may help delay muscle fatigue.
* B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection supplemented horses work harder for longer!
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection supplies readily available, energy-rich phosphate which is essential to muscle function and to buffer excessive lactic acid in body systems. In addition, B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection provides Vitamin B 12 to essential metabolic processes and to maintain appetite. Phosphate is the major body buffer. Hard physical exercise produces very large losses of muscle phosphate, in both aerobic and anaerobic work. The body cannot make phosphate, so the diet must provide all of the requirements. Phosphate is essential to buffer lactic acid produced during hard work as well as in the formation of adequate glycogen to fuel physical activity and in the conversion of glycogen to produce fuel for muscles. Finally, phosphate is critical in allowing oxygen to be dumped from blood cells into the muscle fibers where it fuels muscle contractions. Supplementing with phosphate supplies adequate essential phosphate required in large amounts during exercise and allows more efficient recovery. As a major body buffer, phosphate lowers the lactic acid level in working muscles by helping maintain plasma pH within normal limits… which delays acidosis and muscle fatigue. Used regularly during training and work B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection improves muscular efficiency and endurance and improves recovery after hard work.
Indications: To improve energy and oxygen supply to muscles, to increase maximum oxygen uptake and power output, to delay onset of fatigue and to promote muscle recovery in performance horses.
Form: Sterile for injection.
For: Horses, Dogs and Camels.
Dosage and Administration: Horses: Administer 30ml by IV injection. Use twice weekly.
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection is highly effective when given within 4-6 hours of anticipated hard work.
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection is also very effective when given after hard work, to improve muscle recovery and also the reconstitution of essential body glycogen reserves.
B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection is safely used with all Racehorse Meds products.
Presentation: 100 ml sterile multi-dose glass vial.
